1840 United States Army NCO Sword with Steel scabbard
The United States Army Non-Commissioned Officer sword was adopted by the War Department
in 1840. The Army Noncommissioned Officer Sword has been worn by Army sergeants for over 100
years. It is primarily used today for honor guards and presentations
such as PCS and change of command. Our swords have been purchased by the Army NCOA (
Non Commissioned Officers Academy) as well as National Guard and US Army military bases around the world.
