Estate Chinese Sycee 23 Silver Hand Carved Soapstone Necklace Filigree Beads
Estate necklace marked Sycee No 23. A sycee was a silver ingot currency used in China until the 20th century and sometimes used to make jewelry. I am not sure of the exact silver content. It is very hard to date when this piece was made since I have found limited information on sycee jewelry. It is a beautiful piece and I believe the necklace is made of carved soapstone, that is what it appears to be but I can not say with 100 percent certainty. The necklace closes with a simple push tab. Please view photos for condition. Necklace needs to be cleaned. Approximately 15-16 inch necklace. Priority shipping with tracking is free. Returns only accepted if not accurately described.
